Physical violence can be motivated by different passions: hatred, anger, jealousy, even sadness push some to take action.

But it also happens that this same violence does not result from any particular feeling.

We then speak of “gratuitous” acts.

This seems to be the case in this incredible case where two 15-year-old girls were beaten up at the end of last year by a gang of teenagers even younger than them, at the Jean-Bouin ice rink in Nice.

The facts occurred on November 13, in the early afternoon.

That Sunday, the two victims are enjoying a moment with friends when they are suddenly attacked by six teenagers.

Most are girls, and four are under the age of 13.

Extremely violent, the scene lasts only a few moments.

Punches are raining down on all sides, as much as ice skate blows to the face and neck.

Stunned, the two victims are taken care of and transported to the hospital from where they will emerge with five days of total incapacity for work (ITT) for one, and one day for the other.

An investigation was immediately opened by the prosecution and entrusted to the judicial support group of the Nice police station for "attempted homicide on a 15-year-old minor".

A particularly serious reason, which testifies well to the violence of the attack.

After four months of investigations, all the suspects were identified and arrested on March 22.

Some were placed in police custody, others in judicial restraint given their young age.

In fact, an individual under the age of 13 cannot be placed in police custody.

According to

ACTU 17

, which revealed the case, five of the three alleged attackers would have admitted the facts during their hearings.

Contacted by

, the Nice prosecutor's office neither invalidates nor confirms this information.

“The custody measures have since been lifted.

In view of the very young age of those concerned and in particular of the principle of criminal irresponsibility of those under 13, a psychiatric expertise is scheduled today (this Wednesday, editor's note).

At the end, it will be decided on the orientation to be given”

, specifies the office of the public prosecutor.
