Eight five-year-old children were brought to the emergency room today (Monday) on suspicion of food poisoning in a kindergarten in Petah Tikva.

Initial questioning revealed that the eight felt sick shortly after the lunch that was cooked in the garden - and that it was a case of suspected food poisoning from an as yet unknown source.

A report was forwarded to the Ministry of Health.



Dr. Jad Avisat, a doctor at the Terem center, said that the children arrived at the center suffering from diarrhea and vomiting. After receiving medical treatment - some of them were released to their homes and some are still under supervision.

About two months ago, 20 boys, 12th grade students from a school in the center of the country, arrived at the first aid center in the Romema neighborhood of Jerusalem, after feeling ill during the night and suffering from vomiting and diarrhea. The boys were in the city as part of an "Israeli trip" that began last Sunday. According to them, On the trip they ate rice, schnitzel, corn schnitzel, peas and carrots and vegetables.
