Like a kind of hero who would come to save us from a world at the end of the apocalyptic, the letter initiated by the
Future of Life Institute
and which recommends a six-month break in the development of artificial intelligence, is objectionable.
Knowing that it was co-signed by Elon Musk - the first to have invested in this institute to the tune of 10 million dollars - we can argue because of its intentions.
More worrying is the content of the letter, which lacks practical elements to fight the so-called catastrophe, and which omits to speak about current threats such as technological discrimination or global warming, for which existing solutions are not explored by the authors of this letter.
