2023-04-10T22:05:01.493Z

Roberto Caballero will collect that from Radio y Televisión Argentina, the company managed by Rosario Lufrano and where his own wife is the director of the Frente de Todos.

The journalist K Roberto Caballero, who hosts the program 'Caballero de Día', on Radio El Destape, is going to collect compensation of more than $40 million from Radio y Televisión Argentina (RTA), where his wife Cynthia Ottaviano is parliamentary director for the

Front of all.

The company that Rosario Lufrano manages informed the Justice that it is going to

 pay Caballero a million-dollar compensation in 2024

, for not having renewed his contract as host of a program on Radio Nacional, after having worked there between 2011 and 2015, during the government by Cristina Kirchner.

According to the official report sent by an RTA official to Justice, to which

Clarín

accessed , the exact figure is

$14,549,700, at values of September 2022, plus 10% monthly interest, to be paid in 2024

, for a trial won by Caballero against the company managed by Lufrano.

The trial that Caballero won

is similar to the one that Orlando Barone filed

against Public TV, for considering himself fired from the ultra K 6, 7, 8 program, where RTA ended up paying $15.2 million -although the PPT company would have to have paid there, from Cristóbal López, who had hired Barone.

In addition to Caballero, there are six other journalists

who were dismissed at the beginning of the Macrista administration and started lawsuits against Radio Nacional, in which the State could have to pay more than 200 million pesos.

These are former hosts, panelists and guests at 6,7,8,

who were also hosts or columnists on different National Radio programs.

And

they considered themselves fired from that

radio station between March and April 2016, when the Macrista management changed the programming and stopped paying their salaries.

They are the journalists

Edgardo Mocca, Jorge Halperín and Carlos Polimeni.

Added to these trials are others initiated by the militant journalists K

Carlos Barragán, Nora Veiras and Hernán Brienza

, who had participation in 6,7,8.

But

each of these trials has different characteristics:

they range from the one initiated by a militant journalist who worked for Radio Nacional for only three years, as a propagandist for the Kirchner government;

even that of a journalist with a track record who worked there and on Public TV for 16 years, throughout various government administrations.

Knight's Trial

Roberto Caballero hosts the "Caballero de Día" program, from Monday to Friday from 6 to 9 in the morning on

Radio El Destape, by the businessman and ultra-Kirchner journalist Roberto Navarro

, who hosts "Navarro 2023" there, with whom they do a daily pass between both programs.

The pass between Roberto Navarro and Roberto Caballero, which they do from Monday to Friday between the two programs on Radio El Destape.

In the trial minutes accessed by

Clarín

, Caballero said that

he worked from February 2011 until the end of 2015 at Radio Nacional

, where he hosted the program "Mañana es Hoy".

In April 2016, he was fired, due to the lack of payment of the invoices that he delivered to the state station and that the program was no longer on the air.

On August 25, 2022,

the judges of the National Chamber of Labor Appeals,

Víctor Arturo Pesino and Luis Alberto Cataldo, confirmed the first instance ruling of labor judge Gerardo Miguel Magno, who ordered RTA to pay $2,510,152 to Caballero , together with 35% of that sum for the lawyers and the expert, plus interest until the date of payment.

On March 31, 2023,

RTA's Deputy Manager of Administration and Finance, Analía Gisela Senega

, informed the Court that the state company agreed to pay that amount in 2024.

There, the official stated that

the "provisioned debt with respect to Caballero

as of September 13, 2022" includes the $2,453,540 of the "conviction capital", another $8,194,815 of "interest as of 09-13-22", $2,679,975 of "plaintiff's fees", $901,916 of "expert accountant fees" and $319,460 of "Justice fee".

The "total amount provided" to pay Caballero

is $14,549,700, "plus an estimated 300% interest.

It is clarified that the provided interest was estimated, since it is impossible to determine the rate in the future or the exact moment of

financial year 2024 in which the debts will be cancelled"

, Senega informed the court.

And he added: "For this reason, this estimate was made taking the rate according to the CNAT 2658 act in force at the time of the forecast

(10% monthly)

and a projection was made in the maximum hypothesis, that is, that the trial is canceled in December 2024 , with plus some margin of tolerance in favor of the creditors," said the assistant manager of RTA in the minutes to which

Clarín

agreed .

Consulted the RTA company, official spokesmen told

Clarín

that this note from the assistant manager Senega is because

"we are informing the court that there is a forecast to make the payment in 2024

if that is what corresponds. But the Court has to define it."

The Kirchnerist director of RTA

Roberto Caballero's wife is

Cynthia Ottaviano

, director for the first parliamentary minority in RTA (Frente de Todos), since July 2020;

and former Public Defender of Audiovisual Communication Services, between 2012 and the end of 2016.

Almost in the same period that she was Public Defender, until January 2016,

Ottaviano also hosted another program on Radio Nacional.

But unlike her husband,

she did not judge him

when the macrismo put together another program in the public media.

Despite this, Ottaviano,

being the director of RTA, testified in May 2021 in the trial initiated by the former driver of 6, 7, 8, Carlos Barragán,

against Radio Nacional, in a process similar to that of her husband Caballero.

There, Ottaviano declared that he participated in the Tinta Roja program, where he met Barragán in 2011, who was "very prominent in the program" and "made him grow" by hosting another program, Todos en Cuero, until "in 2016 there was a conflict on the radio, the termination of the contracts".

"The complainant was a public defender

and received the claims for the dismissals in which she was included" Barragán

, appears in the file of that trial against Radio Nacional.

Together with Lufrano, Ottaviano presented the first

Codes of Ethics for Public TV and National Radio

, which Ottaviano coordinated as director of RTA.

Clarín

wanted to consult Ottaviano about these causes, but she did not respond

.

Nor did her husband answer

her Knight when he was consulted for this note.
