After the thunderstorms on Friday evening, the DWD announces new storms for Sunday.
"On Sunday in the second half of the day, with the exception of eastern Bavaria, increasing risk of thunderstorms, greatest danger in Swabia and western Franconia and in the Alps," says the forecast.
"In addition, local storms caused by heavy rain of up to 40 l/sqm in a short time and hail of up to 3 cm, as well as stormy gusts of around 70 km/h."

Heavy thunderstorms also over Munich – DWD is already warning of Sunday
In Munich, too, there was heavy rain around 9 p.m., it thundered and flashed, and in the meantime it also hailed in the middle of the city center.
The weather had calmed down a bit for the musical fireworks at 10 p.m. on the Theresienwiese, but the rockets illuminated a still cloudy and rainy sky - a spectacular backdrop.
The weather in Bavaria is expected to remain largely calm on Saturday, with occasional heavy rain and occasional thunderstorms at most at the edge of the Alps.
As announced by the meteorologists Jung and Schenk, the next wave of thunderstorms is due on Sunday, May 7th.
The German Weather Service (DWD) writes that in the south "storms caused by heavy rain of around 30 liters per square meter within a short period of time and larger accumulations of hail" are possible.
