In Hamburg-Blankenese, there was a suspected homicide on Thursday afternoon. A 67-year-old woman is dead, her son was arrested.
Hamburg – Family drama on Thursday evening in Hamburg's posh district of Blankenese. A 28-year-old is said to have killed her own mother in a single-family house on Willhöden Street. According to information from 24hamburg.de, he had killed the 67-year-old the day before by blunt force. On Thursday evening, he spoke to two federal police officers at Hamburg's main train station and confessed to them about the crime.
The fire brigade and an emergency doctor then drove shortly after 16:00 p.m. to the single-family house where the 28-year-old lived with his mother. There, the emergency services actually found a dead 67-year-old. In the evening, investigators from the homicide squad began their work. In a press release, the Hamburg police wrote: "The accused, for whom there are indications of mental illness, was taken to the remand prison, where he still has to answer to a magistrate."

Neighbors report that the mother is said to have been psychologically conspicuous. Several times a week, the woman is said to have carried boxes of empty alcohol bottles out of the house. Otherwise, however, the family was inconspicuous and friendly, they say. What exactly happened in the house in Hamburg's chic Blankenese district is still unclear.
