On Sunday (28 May), the popular flea market will finally take place again in the "ZDF-Fernsehgarten" with Andrea Kiewel - strict rules therefore apply at the Lerchenberg.
Mainz – The cherished flea market tradition in the "ZDF-Fernsehgarten" will continue in 2023: In addition to top-class guests such as Ben Zucker (39), Anna-Carina Woitschack (30) or Neon Light, presenter Andrea Kiewel (57) will also welcome numerous viewers who are willing to sell and who are curious about onlookers who - in the spirit of the ZDF series with Horst Lichter (61) - want to turn rares into cash - and vice versa! But there are a few things to consider for the spectacle on Mainz's Lerchenberg.
Strict rules in the "ZDF television garden" with Andrea Kiewel: Not everyone is allowed to be there
Punctually at 12:00 noon on Sunday, Andrea Kiewel will once again stroll through the "ZDF TV Garden", which is crisscrossed with sales tables and show booths, and look for real treasures. Such an event needs to be well planned. For this reason, ZDF informed all those present in advance about the rules that apply on site. It is important, for example, that it is "not a 'usual' flea market, where the commercial aspect is usually in the foreground", but a "live broadcast".
If you want to drop by spontaneously, you're out of luck: Like any other "ZDF-Fernsehgarten" episode, it is "not a public event" – despite the authentic flea market atmosphere. A corresponding registration is therefore mandatory. In addition, "new goods, foodstuffs, as well as 'prohibited' items (stimulants, firearms, cutting and stabbing weapons, unused/packaged goods, sexist objects)" are also strictly prohibited. It is also forbidden to bring pets. Violations could "lead to exclusion from the event and expulsion from the site".

"ZDF-Fernsehgarten" with Andrea Kiewel promises: "Experience flea market in a different way"
Anyone who has managed to get a place at the Fernsehgarten flea market, however, can look forward to it: There are no stand fees for the event. It is unlikely, however, that Andrea Kiewel will actually stop by every stand. ZDF announced: "We will not be able to guarantee that you are all in the picture. But we also can't guarantee that you won't be in the picture."

Those present should look forward to "experiencing a flea market in a completely different way," it concludes. Whether everything will go smoothly will be shown live on ZDF on Sunday afternoon. However, the show is almost always good for a surprise: Recently, TV garden fans wondered about Andrea Kiewel's wet pants. Sources used: zdf.de, Regulations: ZDF-Fernsehgarten-Flohmarkt on 28.05.2023
