For three days, the international selection dreamed of the second victory in the history of the Presidents Cup. The key player in the tournament was Tiger Woods, who, with his 27th success in a Presidents Cup, defeated the Mexican Abraham Ancer and initiated the race to catch up. Woods had already won all of his pairings in the double competitions.
The win was certain when Matt Kuchar won in his duel with the South African Louis Oosthuizen and raised the American score to an unachievable 15.5 points. In the end it was 16:14 for the USA. In 2020, as always in even years, the Ryder Cup will be played between the United States and Europe. Then in 2021 the Americans will have to defend the Presidents Cup.
