The day of glory for Émilien Jacquelin! At 24, the Frenchman won his first gold medal at the World Championships in Antholz-Anterselva (Italy). This Sunday, the Grenoblois won his first career race, on the pursuit of the Worlds.
To conquer his first coronation, the biathlete from Villard-de-Lans had a fight on skis with the Norwegian Johannes Boe in the last lap. Neck and neck, the two biathletes alternated the relays, without widening the gap. In the last kilometer, the Habs took the lead and never gave up on the lead.
The Russian Alexander Loginov, winner the day before the sprint, finished 3rd. Martin Fourcade, his room partner, finished 4th.
