Maccabi Tel Aviv will fight on Wednesday (19:00) to continue its path in the Champions League qualifiers, when it will host Lithuania's Sudova in the second round for one decisive game. If there is no decision at the end of 90 minutes, the game will go into overtime followed by penalties, until the winner of the third round is determined.
Last night (Saturday) it was decided that the one who will manage the game so critical for the Israeli champion is the Slovenian referee Rada Obernovic, who only two days after the game will celebrate his 30th birthday. This game in the city of Mariampola, will in fact be his first in the framework of the Champions League.
The young referee has so far managed just four games in the early stages of the Europa League qualifiers and another game in the Youth Champions League. The biggest game in which he refereed was the Slovenian Cup final about two months ago, when a teacher defeated Nafta 0: 2.

If Maccabi Tel Aviv manages to advance to the third qualifying round, it will not be ranked and you can get the Celtic of Nir Bitton and Hatem Abdel Hamid, Dynamo Zagreb who ousted Hapoel Beer Sheva two years ago, Ludogorets of Taleb Tuatha and Mavis Chibuta, Young Boys or the Red Star Belgrade . If one of those five is eliminated this week, the team that defeated it will take its place on the side of the rankings.
A Sudova victory will send the Yellows to the third qualifying round of the Europa League. The two lotteries will take place in eight days, on August 31.
