The Turkish Basketball Association is asking Maccabi Tel Aviv to release Scotty Wilbkin for next month's window at the 2022 European Championship qualifiers.
The Turks have informed the Israeli champions that the yellow star, who holds Turkish citizenship, is included in the team's wide squad, and that they want him released between November 23-30 to take part in the important duel against Croatia and the Netherlands to be held in a bubble in Istanbul on November 27 and 29.
Maccabi Tel Aviv does not intend to grant the request, among other things, because that week it is supposed to host Milan in the Euroleague. As you may recall, earlier this month we announced that the champion's Israeli players are not expected to be on the squad due to the clash of games.
