The first edition of the Prix d'Amérique Zeturf Races Qualif 1 kept all its promises this Sunday in Paris-Vincennes.
In a very tactical race, the finish was played out in a pocket handkerchief after the fault of the favorite,
Valzer di Poggio
, hence the attractive report of Quinté + (over 230,000 euros).
And in this little game, the strongest was
Diable de Vauvert
.
Bertrand Le Beller's pupil appeared at the entrance to the straight line to get ahead of
Feliciano
and
Bahia Quesnot
who, like him, qualify for the Prix d'Amérique.
“I did not know if I had won at the post, admits the winner, Gabriele Gelormini.
I expected a whole different race course with more pace.
Luckily I had a good run in the third layer wagon and found myself close to the lead at the end of the final turn.

A formidable tandem
This victory rewards a duo formed for the first time on July 15, 2018. "I must admit that our first races were not the best", recalls the Italian driver.
"But he has always been extremely talented," recalls Franck Lemuet, the winning owner present at the racetrack despite the health restrictions.
Ambitions announced
If this success is a surprise for some, it is not for the winning entourage.
Several months ago, Bertrand Le Beller showed his ambitions by talking about the Prix d'Amérique and its qualifying events ... while his horse was competing in the Grand National du Trotting.
"He is better in rhythmic races", specifies Gabriele Gelormini, who is certainly already looking forward to being on January 31 to compete in the "beautiful", by way of conclusion.
