The Olympique Lyonnais training center in Décines-Charpieu (Metropolis of Lyon) will be called "Gérard-Houllier training center" named after the former club coach who recently died at the age of 73. OL president Jean-Michel Aulas announced Tuesday on Eurosport.

Houllier coached Lyon between 2005 and 2007 with two French championship titles and two Champions Trophies.
He returned to the club in 2015 as an advisor to Jean-Michel Aulas.
“We are going to rename the training center by the name of Gérard Houllier.
There is also going to be a memorial.
We will also play a match with a trophy against Liverpool (a club also coached by Houllier, ”declared Mr. Aulas after the 32nd final match of the Coupe de France Lyon-Ajaccio (5-1).
