INFO LE PARISIEN. The former Téléfoot journalist, previously worked by BeIN Sports, will officiate during the competition in the second team

We are starting to know a little more about the device adopted by TF1 during the Euro (June 11-July 11). According to someone close to the channel, two teams of commentators are planned. The duo formed by Grégoire Margotton and Bixente Lizarazu will officiate, in particular, for the matches of the Blues (Portugal-France and France-Hungary in the first round). On the other side, Julien Brun, the former journalist of BeIN Sports and then of Telefoot, who stopped broadcasting on February 7, 2021, will be entrusted with certain meetings. The choice of the consultant who will accompany him has not yet been decided. During the 2018 World Cup, the second pair was made up of Christian Jeanpierre and Rudi Garcia, the current OL coach, while stationed in Marseille.

Julien Brun made his debut at Eurosport and Radio France. In 2012, he was recruited by the new BeIN Sports channel. With Bruno Cheyrou, Picard made a very complementary pair for Ligue 1 matches. Little by little, his record as a commentator grew: FA Cup, European competitions (Champions League, Europa League), but also several meetings during the major competitions (2014 World Cup, Euro 2016, 2018 World Cup).

As a reminder, during Euro 2021, TF1 will broadcast 12 matches (in addition to Portugal-France and France-Hungary, the channel has the first choice of the semi-finals) and M 6 will broadcast 11 (including France-Germany, the first choice of quarters and the final). The two channels had obtained the clear rights of the competition for a sum of 50 million euros, or 25 million each. Paid, the BeIN Sports channel will broadcast the entire competition for a check for 38 million euros.

The announcement of the list of players selected by Didier Deschamps for Euro 2021 (June 11-July 11) will be co-broadcast by TF1 and M 6 on Tuesday May 18 as part of the two channels' TV news, at 8:20 p.m. . As we revealed on April 25, Marie Portolano and Nathalie Iannetta will interview the coach following this announcement.
