No training - not even for the tested

The relaxation goes too far for the Ministry of Health. That also surprised the Erding District Office. District Administrator Martin Bayerstorfer is now fighting for more participants in outdoor sports.

The relaxation goes too far for the Ministry of Health.

That also surprised the Erding District Office.

District Administrator Martin Bayerstorfer is now fighting for more participants in outdoor sports.

Erding – How much training is allowed now?

In the meantime, the authorities also seem at a loss.

So far, the opinion has prevailed that over-14 athletes are allowed to go back to the field with a stable seven-day incidence of between 50 and 100, provided they have been tested or recovered or have been vaccinated twice.

“We saw it that way too,” admits Claudia Fiebrandt-Kirmeyer.

But then, reports the press spokeswoman for the Erding district office, the Ministry of Health got in touch.

Accordingly, the group restrictions still apply.

In other words: contact sports are still only possible for a maximum of five people from two households.

For all sports clubs this means: keep waiting!

The boss in the house doesn't like that either, as Fiebrandt-Kirmeyer suggests.

District Administrator Martin Bayerstorfer takes a different view than the Ministry of Health and advocates an increase in the number of participants.

"He will write to the government of Upper Bavaria and the State Ministry of Health in a letter."

Fiebrandt-Kirmeyer explains the processes in detail: "Our general decree of May 11th says: Contact-free indoor sport and outdoor contact sport, provided that all participants have a test certificate, is possible." This is also possible stipulated identically in the 12th Bavarian Infection Protection Measures Ordinance (BayIfSMV). The district office made the relevant application because the incidence remained stable below 100, "and the Ministry of Health gave the consent to the government of Upper Bavaria," reports Fiebrandt-Kirmeyer.

Last Friday, the office received a letter from the government of Upper Bavaria specifying the number of participants in the sporting business - namely "within the framework of the contact restrictions".

The consequence of this is that the contact restrictions regulated in the 12th Bavarian Infection Protection Measures Ordinance will remain within the framework of the further opening steps for recreational sports.

"The contact restrictions do not apply to vaccinated and recovered people," the LRA spokeswoman continued.

In counties where the seven-day incidence is between 50 and 100, the following applies:

• In the interior, non-contact sports are permitted for a maximum of five people from two households.

• In the open air, non-contact sports are allowed in groups of up to 20 children under the age of 14.

For all older people, the restriction according to Section 4 (1) of the 12th BayIfSMV of a maximum of five people from two households applies

• Outdoor contact sports are also permitted with a maximum of five people from two households.

Obviously, the Bavarian Football Association (BFV) is also surprised by the (new) view of things, as Altenerdings department head Andreas Heilmaier says.

He had learned from the head of the sports department at the BFV, Felix Jäckle, that even the interior ministry assumed until last week that, with the appropriate incidence and approval by the local authority, training would be possible for those who had been tested.

Apparently, the Ministry of Health went too far with these easing.

Heilmaier is pissed off: "The test measures would have been a high hurdle for us, but we were happy that we could finally get out again and would have swallowed this toad."

Maybe tomorrow everything will be different again after Prime Minister Markus Söder announced up to 250 spectators at sporting events yesterday.

It remains exciting.
