The emotions, "the impatient to whom fencing has learned to channel themselves" do not convey them only with his blade.
Thanks to "the other" woman of his life, his partner Kitesy, stylist at the origin of his "love at first sight for film (Editor's note: film)", Lefort also tries to touch the other, in the figurative sense this time, thanks to his second passion: photography.
"I always have a device with me," he smiles, stepping out like a magician, the case he hides under his jacket.
As soon as something inspires me, I unsheathe it and shoot it.
I have that in me, the photo is an integral part of my life.
"
So much so that his degree in physiotherapy no longer seems to promise him any retraining in the medical sector at the end of his career.
"Physiotherapy, I like it, but that's not what will continue to make me experience emotions," explains the soon-to-be thirty-something.
The job that makes me dream is photography.

And the foil operator tries to give himself the means of his ambitions. He, who says he “compartmentalizes” his sporting and professional life so that both “serve to clear the mind” has already completed a few projects. If still lifes inspire him, for his first work, Lefort staged fencers to convey a few messages. “I wanted to highlight the diversity that makes up the France team,” he explains with reference to his first book “Behind the mask” (Editor's note: behind the mask). In the collective imagination, fencing is an elitist sport, reserved for a certain social class. In reality, fencing is an accessible sport which reflects French society as a whole.This is what I tried to show by shooting twenty teammates from all origins and all backgrounds. The strength of this French team is its diversity. "
Ironically, Lefort released a second book before flying to Japan. In “Off-piste”, he captured the places that fascinated him the most in Tokyo during his many travels. Two favorite subjects that he hopes will come together in the hours to come.
