Asked by Gazzetto Dello Sport on the occasion of the 10 years of Allianz Stadium (or Juventus Stadium), the deputy executive director of PSG, and ex-
bianconero
leader
, Jean-Claude Blanc gave his opinion on the Juventus project.
The former Paris-Dakar leader congratulated the club on its stadium and wishes to draw inspiration from it for PSG. With a current capacity of 48,000 seats, Blanc wishes to increase to 60,000 to "
highlight, as at Juventus Stadium, the proximity between supporters and players which intimidates opponents and makes our team almost invincible
".
The ex-administrator of Juventus also appreciates the resilience of “
The Old Lady
” after his administrative relegation following the “
Calciopoli
”
match-fixing
scandal
and sees this Juventus Stadium as the symbol of the club's rebound which must also be a “
model
”for PSG.
“
If it hadn't been for Serie B, the stadium wouldn't have been the same.
The factors which gave this impetus are in fact Calciopoli and Italy's bid for Euro 2016.
"
Still on PSG, Jean-Claude Blanc also mentioned the arrival of Messi: "
With the arrival of Messi, the club must think of growing and innovating
" before discussing the renovation project of the Parc des Princes.
The expansion of the Parc des Princes is currently under discussion between the club and the town hall of Paris as entrusted by the president of PSG, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi.
