Fabien Galthié and his staff have chosen not to renew the Ntamack-Jalibert pair against New Zealand. The latter will be a replacement.

An experiment that stops there.

After having been aligned against Argentina then Georgia, the pair composed of Matthieu Jalibert at the opening and Romain Ntamack in the center is not renewed against the All Blacks for the shock of Saturday evening (9 p.m.) at the Stade de France.

Ntamack was preferred to Jalibert to occupy the position of number 10, Jalibert will start on the substitutes' bench and will be able to cover the positions of opener and back.

The French staff have chosen to focus on power in the midfield, with the tenure of Jonathan Danty (substitute in the first two matches) and Gaël Fickou.

An option that had been adopted by the Irish who had brought down the New Zealanders last Saturday.

Woki continues in the second row

Within the pack, Paul Willemse, spared last weekend, is back in the starting XV.

The Montpellier player will be associated with Cameron Woki, usual flanker but who shone against the Georgians in the second row position.

On the front row, hooker Peato Mauvaka will honor his second tenure in blue, after having been against Italy in the 2020 Six Nations Tournament (36-5).

He replaces his teammate at Stade Toulousain, Julien Marchand, injured in the ribs last Sunday.

Right pillar Uini Atonio retains his starting place as right pillar after being recalled and making his debut against the Georgians.

Replacing like the Pumas then titular against the Lelos, Grégory Alldritt will start again against the Blacks at the position of number 8, with battling and hard-hitting flankers, Anthony Jelonch and François Cros.

Barlot and Cretin join the bench of "finishers"

As a result of Marchand's package, Castres hooker Gaëtan Barlot, very prominent this summer against the Wallabies, joined the substitute bench. Note also, the return as "finisher" of the flanker of Lyon, Dylan Cretin, who had not participated in the first two matches of the Blues this fall. Two second lines are among the replacements: Romain Taofifenua and Thibaud Flament. As since the start of the tour, there will be six forwards and two full backs as finishers.

The XV of France has not beaten New Zealand since June 2009 and a 22-27 success in Dunedin.

Since then, the Blues remain on 14 setbacks against the "men in black".

The last victory of the French on their land against the Kiwis goes back even further: November 18, 2000 in Marseille (42-33).

At the time, Fabien Galthié was titular behind the scrum of the Blues.

The composition of the XV of France:

Jaminet - Penaud, Fickou, Danty, Villière - (o) Ntamack, (m) Dupont (cap) - Jelonch, Alldritt, Cros - Willemse, Woki - Atonio, Mauvaka, Baille
