Legend.
Just before she will finally retire from tennis at the age of 40, Serena Williams played her last match tonight (between Wednesday and Thursday) at the Masters tournament in Toronto, and received a very emotional ceremony at the end.
Although the American lost to Belinda Bencic 6:2, 6:4 and ended her journey in Canada already in the first round, this is not what overshadowed the great celebration in honor of someone who is considered perhaps the greatest tennis player in the history of the sport.

"It's been a pretty interesting 24 hours. I'm terrible at goodbyes. But, goodbye Toronto," an emotional Williams told the crowd at the end of the game.
"I've always had amazing times here both on and off the field. I'll only be back as a guest in the city but other than that it's been amazing. I love playing here, I always have. I wish I could play better but Belinda played so well today."
"I am so lucky to have stepped on the same court with you so many times," Bencic tweeted the winner at the end of the match, and added in the interview: "She is the greatest actress of all time, it is great for me to have taken part in her career and her story."
Next week, Williams is also expected to take part in the Cincinnati tournament in the United States, and as mentioned at the end of the month, she will participate in the last Grand Slam of the year, and the last of her illustrious career.
