While Haching gets a big point in the regional league, FC Bayern II has been without a win for five games.

Türkgücü and Heimstetten lack the penetrating power.

Munich – With the 1-0 win in the top game at third division relegated Würzburger Kickers, SpVgg Unterhaching finally consolidated their status as the top favorite for the championship.

The fact that runner-up FC Bayern II has nothing to do with the title race this season also seems to have been clarified since the weekend at the latest.

The 2-2 win against FV Illertissen on Friday evening in the Grünwalder Stadion was the fifth winless game in a row for the record champions' talent pool.

The Brazilian Caiuby, who was recently signed, is still waiting for his first appearance for relegated Türkgücü.

Without the 34-year-old, the Munich Turks also lacked penetrating power in Pipinsried, the 0:2 was the second encounter in a row without their own goal.

SV Heimstetten, on the other hand, remained without a win for the fourth time in a row, on Saturday they lost 1-0 at TSV Rain/Lech.

With the third win in a row, the people from Haching not only defended their lead in the standings, but also distanced themselves from a highly valued competitor.

Almost 3,600 spectators watched a hard-fought game between two teams at eye level.

The leader was compact on the defensive and seemed more dangerous on the counterattack than the Lower Franconians.

In the end, two newcomers were responsible for the match ball: Mathias Fetsch scored his sixth goal of the season (55th) on assist from Maximilian Welzmüller.

"We lost against the best team in the league," acknowledged Kickers coach Marco Wildersinn without envy.

Haching's head coach Sandro Wagner was of course satisfied: "It was the tough game we expected, we've made another step forward and are also doing very well athletically, the whole game was fun and we're enjoying this important win."

FC Bayern II: There were five games without a win at the turn of the year 2016/17

FC Bayern II - FV Illertissen 2: 2

(1: 1).

The fact that the youngsters of the record champions do not have the same quality this season as in the previous season was already evident in the first few games.

It is also understandable that the "Bayern amateurs" started the season with an extraordinarily young team after the departures of the experienced players Nicolas Feldhahn and Maximilian Welzmüller.

It is astonishing, however, that a number of players are at best stagnating in their second season in men's football (Brückner, Aydin, Copado), the newcomers, some of whom are highly regarded, have not yet been able to demonstrate the necessary maturity for adult football (Lee, Zvonarek, Tikvic) - and coaches Martin Demichelis showed after the fifth game in a row that he was "very satisfied with the fighting performance of my boys until the end".

FC Bayern II: Negative series as last at the turn of the year 2016/17

The last time there was such a negative series in the regional league was at the turn of the year 2016/17.

On Friday evening, the small Bavarians again offered fine entertainment, including two worth seeing volley goals from Leon Fust (39th) and captain Timo Kern (62nd).

On the other hand, there were the well-known defensive weaknesses, after the two goals conceded (33rd, 48th) on Friday there were already a total of 16 hits.

As a reminder: just two years ago, in July 2020, FC Bayern’s reserves celebrated the championship in the 3rd division under coach Sebastian Hoeneß.

FC Pipinsried - Türkgücü Munich 2:0

(0:0).

Since Caiuby is still not eligible to play, the question is gradually being raised as to whether this transfer is just one of those Türkgücü marketing "coups" that one actually vowed to have behind oneself.

In any case, coach Alper Kayabunar also had to do without the 34-year-old Brazilian in Pipinsried on Friday, his offensive remained harmless again.

Regionalliga Bayern: SV Heimstetten and Türkgücü Munich remain without a goal on the 9th matchday

In addition, central defender Michael Zant (85') received a yellow-red card and two late goals were conceded by Halit Yilmaz from penalties (87') and Claudio Milican (93'), meaning that Kayabunar had to attest his team "not a good game".

Above all, according to the 36-year-old, there was a lack of “penetration on the offensive”.

It doesn't help to have an experienced goalscorer in your own ranks, but not to be able to use them.

TSV Rain/Lech - SV Heimstetten 1:0

(0:0).

The fact that SVH did not concede at least two goals in the eleventh competitive game of the season for the first time was of little use in the end.

After the hosts had just missed a penalty (67'), Leo Benz scored the only goal of the afternoon (72').

Until then, the Kirchheimers had been the superior team with the better chances, which were all missed.

Co-trainer Roman Langer, who replaced the ailing Christoph Schmitt, expressed his frustration after the final whistle.

After getting the 0:1 "out of nowhere", according to the 32-year-old, "we could no longer build on the performance we had previously shown".

It's not getting any easier for the SVH, the next tasks are Burghausen and FC Bayern II. (MATTHIAS HORNER AND KLAUS KIRSCHNER)
