Tiktukno: summary of today's events in sports, 2.10 (Sport1)
A new case shakes the world of fishing in the USA, after a serious fraud by some of the participants was discovered in a large fishing competition, in what is already known as a local "scandal" - after two fishermen were caught inserting lead weights and pieces of fish into the fish in order to increase the weight of the fish they caught and win in the competition.
These are Chase Kominski from Pennsylvania and Jake Runyon from Cleveland, who already thought they were going to win the last competition of the season held in Ohio - until the truth was revealed for all to see. (who by day works as a police officer in the suburbs of Cleveland) scolds the two and yells at them "you're flying out of here" with the movement of a baseball umpire.
The pair of cheaters, after winning another competition
In the rest of the video, the director of the competition is seen taking the fish, opening them, and removing round weights from each of them.
Also, he even removes pieces of meat from some of the fish, which were artificially pushed into the fish's body.
As you know, the ranking in competitions is calculated based on the total weight of the fish caught.
The other contestants are heard in the background angrily shouting "fucking thief", "you should be put in jail" and "where's your crown now, eh?".
Fisher issued a statement on behalf of the organizers: "To all the disgusted, I'm sorry to have let you down for so long, but also happy that I caught the cheaters, we will protect the fairness and good name of the competition."
Fisher is disappointed because in the fishing world Kominski and Runyon have been suspected of cheating for a long time, when it is important to note that these are competitions in which the prizes can reach 100 thousand dollars.
In the past, contestants were suspended after failing a polygraph test, but were acquitted because of the doubt.
Fishing enthusiasts know that these competitions have a very large dimension of luck, and part of their charm is that even a beginner amateur fisherman can unexpectedly win the first prize if he manages to catch a fat fish on his rod.
But these two were winning competition after competition, and now, as mentioned, they were caught.
