At a time when cities and countries are divided on the position to be adapted with regard to the next World Cup in Qatar, the 2030 edition could unite people around the same cause.

Thus, alongside Spain and Portugal, Ukraine could host the competition through a joint bid.

This decision should be formalized on Wednesday, on the sidelines of a UEFA congress in Nyon, Switzerland.

This project was born in the hope of a war in Ukraine resorbed by then, with a country potentially in full reconstruction when hosting the great rout of world football.

The British daily reports that the Eastern European country will host a group stage group, with the rest of the competition taking place in the Iberian Peninsula.

Saudi Arabia candidate?

Already host country of Euro 2012, Ukraine has never hosted the World Cup, any more than Portugal for that matter.

Spain, meanwhile, had organized a World Cup 1982 passed to posterity, in particular thanks to the match between France and the FRG.

This momentum of union could plead in favor of this candidacy at the expense in particular of Saudi Arabia, which plans to position itself alongside Egypt and Greece for the centenary edition.
