"Russia gives great support to Qatar regarding the World Cup Organizing Committee. Coordination will continue, and we thank Russia for that,"

he said.

As a reminder, Russia had been excluded from the World Cup at the end of February by UEFA and FIFA after the invasion in Ukraine.

But according to Sky News correspondent Rob Harris, the Russian Football Federation can cooperate with Qatar for the World Cup without breaking any rules as it is not banned by FIFA.

"I want to wish all the success to Qatar", says Putin

Vladimir Putin also left a message in Qatar.

“Relations between the two countries are growing. We are doing everything to share our experience in these preparations for the World Cup. I want to wish Qatar every success in organizing this major event. hit."

This World Cup is however strongly criticized, especially in France where certain large cities have refused to install giant screens to watch the matches of the competition.

The “boycott” of the competition on the part of the supporters is gaining more and more momentum as the start of the competition approaches.
