Paris tournament final summary: Holger Rona - Novak Djokovic (Sport1)

Memorize the following name because he is going to dominate world tennis in the coming years: Holger Rune, the only 19-year-old Danish prodigy won the final of the Paris tournament tonight (Sunday) after a dramatic victory like no other over the great Novak Djokovic, 6:3, 3 :6 and 5:7 in a game that lasted a little over two and a half hours.
Rona was broken once in the first set and fell behind by a set, but was not pressured and got a break right at the start of the second set to equalize 1:1 and the great drama unfolded in the deciding set.
Djokovic broke for 1:3, but Rona immediately broke back and then in the 11th game he broke again for 5:6.
Rona managed to win the match and the entire tournament, but oh how dramatic and difficult it was.
Rona managed to get out of five (!) break points and already had a match, but lost the point due to a double fault.
Novak achieved a sixth break point in this amazing game, Rona got out of it with an ace and on his second tournament point won a game that lasted no less than 17 minutes (!) to celebrate with the local crowd.

It was of course the first Masters 1000 title of Rona's career, who became the youngest champion in Paris since Boris Becker in 1986 and will enter the world top 10 tomorrow after starting this tournament in 19th place.
For Djokovic it was his first loss since the 14-game winning streak he started in the tournament held here in Israel.
Wow, what a drama.
