The Alden company announced today (Monday) the launch of the "Elden Athletes Team" project on the way to Paris 2024. At a press conference, the six athletes who were selected and will receive the company's support in their athletic journey in an effort to reach the Olympic Games were introduced.
Alden is expected to invest about one million shekels in supporting athletes over the next two years, in direct contact (and without any union of one kind or another).
Alden's team of athletes presented today includes: judoka Timna Nelson Levy, sailor Maor Ben Harosh, swimmer Mark Maliar, and surfers Yoav Omar, Kati Spichkov and Mia Ashkenazi.
As part of the selection process, applications were submitted to the company from about 100 athletes, from a variety of fields, who need assistance on their way to the Olympic goal of Paris 2024. What began with the "call" published by the company more than six months ago, continued with a strict selection process, presentations and personal interviews until the selection in the team
All the athletes will receive a permanent monthly scholarship from Alden until they represent Israel in Paris 2024, and in addition they will receive a special benefit in renting a car from Alden, during the time they stay in Israel.
