After the successful summer that Israel's youth teams had and in light of the wonderful achievements achieved by the national youth team and cadets, the basketball association and the professional committee decided on a number of changes in the coaching positions, and promoted a number of coaches.
As revealed in "Israel Hayom" today (Tuesday) Elad Hassin received an offer from the basketball association to move on to coach the reserve team after coaching the youth team, while Sharon Abrahami was appointed to his position as coach of the youth team.
The next coach of the cadet team is Yehu Orland, while Oren Aharoni prefers not to coach this summer.
"The professional committee, headed by Amos Frishman, accepted the recommendations of the professional director of the Israel National Teams, Pini Gershon, for the teams for the young national teams.
The reserve team will be coached by Elad Hasin and his assistants will be Amit Sharaf and Shay Seglovic.
The youth team will be coached by Sharon Abrahami and his assistants will be Yoav Shankman and Golan Yaglanovsky.
The cadet team will be coached by Yehua Orland and his assistants will be Yoav Shamir and Shaf Tor.
The team up to the age of 17 will be coached by Adir Amer and his assistants will be Amit Tamir and Assi Shimon.
The teams up to the age of 14-15 will be coached by Itai Yerushalmi and his assistants will be Ramon Wolfson, Yaniv Ben Nahum, Ido Cohen, Yoni Pont, and Alon Levin.
As I remember, Israel is one of the few countries that all of its youth teams will play in the first tier of the European Championship this summer.
Veteran coach Avi Kowalski will serve as the head of physical fitness in the youth teams.
All appointments will be approved by the union management.'
