Took it personally: The night of Irving, Kawhi and Marie | Israel today

2023-01-21T06:55:19.307Z

Brooklyn's point guard scored a season high with 48 points in a 117:106 victory in Utah • So did the Clippers' star, with 36 points, in 126:131 in San Antonio • Denver Haifa player on the absence of Nikola Jokic with a triple double in 111:134 on Indiana

Utah (25:24) - Brooklyn (17:28) 117:106.

When Kyrie Irving is involved in net basketball, he is one of the NBA's superstars.

Tonight it was the Jazz who felt it first hand.

Number 11 of the Nets took over the game, mainly due to the absence of Kevin Durant.

He did everything on the field to end a streak of four losses.

Irving scored a season-high 48 points, pulled down 11 rebounds and dished out 6 assists, and when it looked like Utah was coming back, he hit a critical 3-pointer to secure the win.

San Antonio (32:14) - LA Clippers (24:24) 131:126.

Kawhi Leonard led the guests from Los Angeles, mainly thanks to an excellent second half that secured them a victory.

Kawhi scored a season-high 36 points and added 7 assists, leading the winner's top three.

Norman Powell added 26 points and Paul George was versatile with 16 points and 12 assists.

Denver (13:33) - Indiana (24:23) 111:134.

The Nuggets found out that there is life even without Nikola Jokic and celebrated their ninth win in a row, this time against the Pacers who didn't really oppose.

Jamal Murray was fantastic on the winning side with a triple double that included 17 points, 14 assists and 10 rebounds.

Eric Gordon was there to provide the extra as leading scorer with 28 points.

Cleveland (19:28) - Golden State (23:23) 120:114.

Despite a bad season in their concepts, the Warriors have proven that they have depth and the ability to surprise opponents that on paper are superior to them.

Tonight they left out most of their stars.

Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins and Draymond Green watched from the sideline as Jordan Paul took over the game with 32 points.

He was not alone.

Ty Jerome came up with 22 points and 8 assists, and even scored a critical 3-pointer towards the end.

It was enough against 31 points from Darius Garland of the Cavaliers, who suffered their second straight loss.

LA Lakers (25:21) - Memphis (14:31) 121:122.

In a super dramatic finish, the Lakers were there to come from behind, win and ruin the Grizzlies' chance to set a club record 12-game winning streak.

One minute before the end of the game, Memphis still led 113:118, but then something got stuck in her game.

The Lakers were down by one point, then in a brilliant move, it was Dennis Schroeder who grabbed the ball to turn the score around with a basket and a foul.

The excellent Schroeder finished the evening with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists, but was only third on the Lakers' scoring list, which was led by Russell Westbrook with 29 points (a season high).

LeBron James added 23 points in a mediocre game, but it was enough to hand the Grizzlies their first loss of 2023, as Jay Morant led them with 22 points.

Dallas (22:25) - Miami (22:25) 90:115.

It was a one-sided game and after the first quarter it was over and in the hands of the Mavericks.

They came into this game on a three-game losing streak, and luckily Luka Doncic was there to end it with a 34-point, 12-rebound, 7-assist game.
