Philippines – The biathlon season has recently come to an end and athletes are taking advantage of their well-deserved break. Biathlete Justus Strelow flew to the Philippines with his girlfriend Elisa. From there, the couple has good news to announce.

On the beach in the South Seas, Strelow asked his girlfriend the question of all questions. The sports soldier's proposal was made in front of a picturesque backdrop, as his Instagram post revealed. The newly engaged couple proudly presented the good news on social media.
"Contrast program! Immediately after the exertions of the long and beautiful winter season, we went to the Philippines to relax. A wonderful time together with @liisii97 💍 to regain strength for the hard summer full of training hours," the 26-year-old wrote under the picture.

Enjoy time out – romance is not to be missed
Under this motto, the couple traveled to the South Seas. Numerous other pictures adorn the post about the engagement. Among other things, the athlete swims with turtles or relaxes in the hammock. Also visible in the pictures: numerous sunsets. Perhaps the winter sports enthusiast was simply waiting for the right moment for the most important question of his life.
Justus Strelow has been competing in the World Cup since the 2020/21 season. He made his breakthrough in the recently completed season, in which he finished 21st in the overall World Cup. For the coming winter, he has been nominated for the World Cup team together with Benedikt Doll, Johannes Kühn, Philipp Nawrath, Roman Rees, Lucas Fratzscher, Philipp Horn, Simon Kaiser and David Zobel.
