Start packing:  As part of a meeting held today (Thursday) between Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi and his Greek counterpart Nikos Dandias, it was agreed that Israelis could visit Greece without the need for isolation upon entry or return to Israel.

The outline is expected to take effect next week, which means that Israelis will be able to fly and vacation in Greece in the coming days with almost no restrictions. In doing so, Greece will join Croatia and Bulgaria, which will probably also receive Israeli tourists.

600 Israeli tourists a week will be able to enter four destinations - Athens, Thessaloniki, Crete and Corfu. Tourists entering Greece will be required to check Corona before the flight and for another check upon landing.

The destinations that will probably be opened to Israelis were announced yesterday, and today at 16:00 the Foreign Ministry is expected to publish the list of countries, and the outline according to which the airport will operate under the Korona restrictions.

Following the official announcement, packages from the tourism and airline companies are expected to be published in the near future, and Ben Gurion Airport is already preparing the ground for the return of Israeli tourists.

Those who do not have a plane ticket will not be able to enter the terminal, and so will those with a high body temperature. On flights to and from Israel, passengers will be required to wear masks throughout the flight.

Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi said: "Welcomes Greece's decision to allow tourism from Israel in the Corona era. This decision expresses the warm relationship between the countries and the common desire to return to a normal life in the Corona era and hopes that more European countries will adopt this decision."
