France is still far from 5,000 new cases per day, one of the two conditions for entering the new stage of deconfinement on December 15.
This Sunday, the day of the week when many laboratories are closed, the health authorities identify 11,022 SARS-CoV-2 contaminations in 24 hours, against nearly 13,000 on Saturday and more than 11,000 on Friday.
As of Sunday, that figure stood at 9,784.
On the number of patients in intensive care, the second condition for alleviating the restriction measures, the decline continues.
Some 3,210 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized in these services reserved for the most severe cases (+ 101 admissions in 24 hours), or 10 less than the day before.
This figure must be "around 2500, 3000" by December 15 to hope to reach the second phase of deconfinement, warned Emmanuel Macron during his speech at the end of November.
55,156 deaths linked to Covid-19

This toll, which had been falling for several days, increased in 24 hours.
It stood at 26,040 on Saturday and 26,283 on Friday.
Among these hospitalized patients, 627 have been registered since the day before.
The Covid-19 has caused 175 additional deaths in the past 24 hours.
In total, 55,156 people have died from this disease since the start of the epidemic in France.
Among these deaths, 37,970 were recorded in hospitals.
