The incumbent district administrator is Thomas Karmasin from the CSU, born in 1962. He has held his office since 1996 and is therefore one of the longest-serving district administrators in all of Bavaria. He will stand for re-election in 2020. His competitors are Christoph Maier from the SPD, Jan Halbauer (Greens), Sandra Meissner (Free Voters), Ernestine Martin-Köppl (Die Linke), Ulrich Bode (FDP) and Christian Holdt (ÖDP).
Citizens can expect the result of the district election in Fürstenfeldbruck on the evening of the election day. The ballot papers for the district election and mayor election are counted at the beginning, before the more complicated lists for municipal councils and district councils come up.
