This evening (Thursday) a virtual operation of the Jewish Agency took place in 29 countries around the world: Due to restrictions on travel around the world, the preliminary exams for the World Bible Quiz were held this year through the Internet. Sixty-five contestants from 29 countries simultaneously answered 50 biblical questions in 14 languages ​​at the same time through 20 exams from Israel, followed by 90 webcams.

The contestants met at 17:00 (Israel Time) at the "Zoom" plenum and were then divided into small rooms by languages, where they conducted the test on an online system tailored to the needs of the Bible Quiz, in contact with the Jewish Agency interpreters and staff, who helped and supervised them. The purity of the exam.



90 webcams accompanied the live broadcast examiners to 8 overseers, who monitored the exam's reliability and interpreters in 14 different languages, assisting contestants and communicating with them on regular video and audio.

The interpreters and Jewish Agency employees were each sitting in his house, and all the procedures from the military were in the home of the Bible Quiz coordinator at the Jewish Agency, Amichai Netet, who controlled everything in all states.

Every year, for two weeks before Israel's Independence Day, a camp was held in Israel, organized by the Ministry of Education, the Jewish Agency and the JNF, to which applicants from around the world come, and in which the preliminary exams are also conducted. This year due to travel restrictions around the world, the Bible Camp was rejected but the early exams were held online and the Bible Quiz itself, which is a tradition and part of Independence Day celebrations, is not canceled and broadcast on television, with contestants all over the world participating online.

This year's applicants come from 29 countries including: USA, England, Australia, South Africa, France, Russia, Moldova, Panama, Hungary, Ethiopia, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Venezuela, Poland, Costa Rica, The Netherlands, Czech Republic Czech Republic, Spain, Gibraltar, Bosnia Herzegovina, Argentina, Colombia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ukraine, Latvia and Israel.
