Erding - The shops are closed, the stocks are full: The week-long corona lockdown has caused retailers to lose sales and excess inventory of goods. These now want to dismantle the fashion house Kraus and Schuh Gerlspeck together. The two traditional Erdinger companies are organizing a warehouse sale from Thursday through June 10th.
It is called "Fashion & Shoes" and is offered daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the former Gerlspeck tennis hall on Franz-Brombach-Straße. Rainer Gerlspeck announces branded goods reduced by up to 70 percent.
"Shoes and textiles go well together," he says of the cooperation with Kraus. It is the first of its kind. “More are conceivable if things go well. The stores are full, which is why we came up with the idea and the customer benefits from it. ”
Gerlspeck was not idle even during the corona lockdown. He kept in touch with customers via Facebook and Instagram. Every day he posted photos of shoes and bags, presented by wife Evi, daughter and son. "We relied on social networks during the crisis," says Gerlspeck. The customer response was positive. He has also expanded the online business, which he has been running for three years. "We are happy that we were able to generate sales," he confesses. “Our goal was to sell as much goods as possible. You have the loss anyway, you can't make up for it. ”He had to send the employees in short-time work.
The reopening of the shoe store on the Long Line in April was very promising. The first three weeks were very good, says Gerlspeck, also because of the personnel sales with a 20 percent discount: “We are very satisfied. May is at the previous year's level. ”(Gabi Zierz)
