Our correspondent Ana María Mejía arrived in Freeport on a cruise ship that left Florida in the United States with doctors, volunteers and humanitarian aid. Doctors and volunteers will visit local medical centers to assist in the care and recovery efforts. In addition to distributing the aid, the cruise will transport hundreds of evacuees from the island to the United States, where they will be served.
