Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said on Friday that French President Emmanuel Macron's proposal to maintain the nuclear deal was "unattainable in the frameworks of the American administration."

In a telephone conversation with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani last July, Macron stressed the need to continue efforts to maintain the nuclear agreement and France's efforts in this regard.

Zarif told reporters upon his arrival in New York to participate in the UN General Assembly that `` Macron wants to reach a solution on the Iranian nuclear agreement, which was evident during my meeting with him and his talks with the Iranian president, but this solution is not possible by accepting the frameworks of the Americans. ''

On the agenda of his visit on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly meeting, Zarif said that he will participate in the meeting of the Joint Committee for the Nuclear Agreement with the 4 + 1 Group.

Zarif explained that the most important axes of President Rouhani's speech during the UN General Assembly meeting will include the current regional and international circumstances and the evasion of the Americans responsibilities in the framework of the nuclear agreement in addition to the dangers resulting from US policies.

In May 2018, U.S. President Donald Trump announced his country's withdrawal from the nuclear deal between Iran and the P5 + 1 and the reinstatement of sanctions on Tehran in defiance of the will of the international community and a violation of international resolutions.
