The gathering of Muslim scholars in Lebanon strongly condemned the blatant US interference in Lebanon's financial and economic situation, considering that the visit of US Assistant Secretary of Treasury Marshall Billingsley to Lebanon as a declaration of war on Lebanon and protection of the Zionist entity.
The RCD said in a statement that the United States of America is trying to exert economic pressure on Lebanon as a punishment for standing by the resistance in defending Lebanon's sovereignty and territorial integrity, pointing out the importance of not implementing the dictates of the US envoy and thinking of ways that develop the national economy instead of helping to destroy this economy.
The statement expressed regret at the behavior of some who, instead of being a shield for the national economy, initiates mischief and complies with US decisions.
