(CNN Spanish) - Tropical Narda depression will bring heavy rains to northwestern Mexico, the National Water Commission (Conagua) reported Tuesday.

According to the US National Hurricane Center, in addition to rains, floods are expected across northern Mexico and into the central United States.

"Wind is forecast with gusts of over 50 kilometers per hour (km / h) on the western coasts of the Baja California Peninsula and areas of Sonora, Coahuila, Campeche and Yucatán," said Conagua.

Narda degraded to tropical depression this Tuesday morning, says Conagua, and has maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour while moving northwest at 22 km per hour.
