[Washington 3rd Reuters]-The US State Department has approved the sale of 150 Raytheon <RTN.N> anti-tank missile "Javelin" and related equipment (up to $ 39.2 million worth) to Ukraine. The US Department of Defense revealed on the 3rd.
The missile was mentioned in a telephone conference on July 25 between Trump and Ukrainian President Zerensky, who triggered the official investigation in the House of Representatives for the Trump impeachment.
Ukraine uses its own government funding for purchases, not US contributions. The two countries had agreed on the deal before the two leaders' phone call.
