Magdiela created LatinX in Animation, the animation branch of the Los Angeles Latino Film Institute, to promote diversity in the entertainment and animation industry. He is currently working to implement a curriculum for 2020 in schools, and incorporate animation and training skills at an early age. He is also teaching young professionals how to value their work and negotiate when looking for work. She is the production supervisor of the first animated Marvel Studios series, What If ?, recently announced on Comic Con and scheduled to leave in 2021.
