For Ariana Stein and Patty Rodríguez and for the majority of Latinas in the United States, being bicultural, bilingual and being a mother are features that impact how they teach their young people. Patty and Ariana created Lil Books inspired by Latin culture to educate in bilingual skills. They are two first-generation Latinas, and now they are joining forces with WIC to train more Latino mothers to read their children in both languages at a very early stage.
