Iranian Speaker of the Islamic Shura Council Ali Larijani said that despite the unjust US embargo, his country has been able to implement development projects in various regions of the country, even the border.
"The construction of a dam and the Sardasht hydroelectric power station is an indication of Iranian engineering capabilities," Larijani was quoted as saying in a speech at the opening ceremony of the Sardasht hydroelectric power plant in northwestern Azerbaijan province.
He said that the construction of the dam and the station with Iranian expertise is proof of Iran's engineering capabilities and this should happen in all development projects in the country.
