Deputy Foreign Minister and Expatriates Dr. Faisal Al-Miqdad handed over the Italian Albanian child, who was detained in Al-Houl camp, to the president of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, Francesco Rocca, in the presence of Syrian Arab Red Crescent President Khaled Haboubati.

During his meeting with Roca and the extradition of the child, Miqdad congratulated the parents of the child, the Syrian Arab Red Crescent and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies on this achievement, which represented the real humanitarian essence of the Syrian state policies. Western states that claim to respect this law as they shirk their commitments and exploit the human dimension of political blackmail.

Mekdad expressed the Syrian government's readiness to provide all necessary facilities to help children who are victims of the practices of terrorist organizations in Syria and its supporting countries in Western Europe.

For his part, Rocca expressed his deep thanks for the cooperation shown by the Syrian government and the Syrian Arab Red Crescent to facilitate the return of this child to his family and end his suffering, pointing out that this is a model for constructive cooperation between the Syrian Arab Republic and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.

The attendees agreed to continue to strengthen the relationship between Syria and the International Federation and the Syrian Arab Red Crescent to serve the noble humanitarian objectives of the three parties and make the necessary efforts to implement international humanitarian law.
