The president of Chile, Sebastián Piñera, announced a plan to strengthen public order after days of protests that have left 20 dead. The plan includes new bills and among them one to tighten penalties for robbery crimes and focused on combating looting. We also want to establish the immediate discussion of the “Anti-Capuchados” bill to punish people who commit crimes by hiding their faces.
