The magazine (Nas and Dol) Czech tourism specialist described the Hijaz station in Damascus as one of the most beautiful buildings in the city and is considered a cultural heritage, noting its history, design and decoration inside.

The magazine pointed out in a report on the station included four large color images of it was built in 1917, pointing out that the Spanish architect Fernando de Aranada, who designed the construction in which he combined the methods of European and eastern construction.

The magazine said in its report that "to the building to date to the German locomotive type Yong produced in 1908 and remember the glorious years of this railway, while the inside of the station decorated with various decorations, most notably stained glass windows and wooden ceiling."
