Mexico announces high-level meeting with the United States

The Mexican government announced a high-level meeting with the United States to discuss the statements of President Donald Trump of considering Mexican cartels as terrorist groups. Mexican Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard insisted that the meeting tries to underpin the respect between the two countries and said the US response has been positive. The Mexican rejection, rather than assigning the qualification of terrorists to the drug cartels, has to do with this, they say, would allow US armed intervention in their territory.
