(CNN Spanish) - Two people died and one more was injured after the explosion in a clandestine pyrotechnics workshop in Tultepec, Mexico City Governor Alfredo Del Mazo Maza confirmed on Friday.

Specifically, the incident with pyrotechnic material occurred at an address in Private Guadalupe, Tultepec, according to the General Coordination of Civil Protection in a statement. The entity added that "one minor and one male died and another minor was injured."

The incident, of which details about the cause of the explosion are still unknown, authorities say, was reported at 8:00 am (local time) and caused damage to three other homes.

At that time, reveals the General Coordination of Civil Protection, the emergency was attended by Civil Protection personnel, the Regional Operations Center (CRO), Fire and Red Cross.
