(CNN) - The National Meteorological Service issued a snowstorm warning for parts of the northeastern US, which includes New York City. A narrow, but powerful strip of snow moved through the city, associated with a cold Arctic front, and is likely to produce almost white conditions and gusts of wind at 40 mph (64km / h).
