The Russian Investigation Commission announced today the name of the shooter near the building of the Russian Federal Security Service in the center of the capital, Moscow.

The website of Russia today quoted a spokesperson for the commission, Svetlana Petrenko, as saying that 39-year-old Yevgeny Mnyorov is a 39-year-old resident of Podolsk, on the outskirts of Moscow.

Russian media had reported that the perpetrator was working in the field of commercial legal advice before his company closed in 2015.

According to his mother’s statements, he did not serve in the army, was not married, nor had any emotional relationship with any woman, he had no friends, and he was self-defeating.

And the Russian Federal Security Service announced last night that a gunman opened fire at the agency’s headquarters in central Moscow and was able to kill a security element and wounded 5 people, including a civilian, before being shot dead by the building’s guards.
