Robbery in slot room, owner killed

(ANSA) - VERONA, DECEMBER 23 - The owner of a game room in Legnago (Verona) was killed during a robbery carried out in his room. The incident happened last night. The 60-year-old man, originally from the province of Brescia, but recently transferred to the lower Veronese area, was attacked by a man who was covered, armed with a stick or a bar which, after having had the rear door opened, struck him violently causing him a severe head injury. After having stolen the proceeds of about three thousand euros, the robber has disappeared making him lose his tracks. The 60-year-old died shortly after being transported to hospital following serious injuries. His body was discovered by his partner in business lives in the same building and that, upon entering the room, found him on the ground in a pool of blood. The soldiers of the Investigative Unit of the Carabinieri Command of Verona are investigating the case together with their colleagues from the Legnago Company.
