A Russian Su-57 fighter plane crashed during a test flight in the eastern Khabarovsk region. This was announced by the manufacturer United Aricraft Corporation (UAC).
The pilot was able to save himself and no one on the ground was injured. The crash is now being investigated, the agency Tass reported, citing military circles. There may have been a problem with the controller.
The Su-57 is the most modern combat aircraft of the Russian Air Force. According to the agency Interfax, the crashed machine is one of the first to be mass-produced. It should be handed over to the military at the end of the year.
